The project was complex, as it required us to analyze CAD data and calculate the target objectives for all country models and special editions, including all possible optional equipment combinations.&nbsp;</p><p>However, thanks to our extensive experience in mass property engineering and automotive design, we successfully helped Daimler to achieve these objectives.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>&nbsp;One of the critical challenges that we faced during the project was ensuring that the vehicles met their target weights while also meeting strict certification requirements. To achieve this, we worked closely with Daimler to analyze the vehicles' design and identify areas where weight must be reduced or optimized without compromising performance, safety, and vehicle ride dynamics.

In addition to weight management, we helped Daimler meet their sustainability objectives by identifying opportunities for lightweight materials and more efficient weight management processes.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>&nbsp;Our work with Daimler Research and Development is a testament to the expertise and dedication of the team at Bredec GmbH. Engineering Success: How Bredec GmbH Supported Daimler Research and Development in Achieving Mass Property Engineering Objectives for the w166 and x166 Vehicle Type

Das DAIMLER R&D Team der Abteilung, verantwortlich für die Gesamtfahrzeugkonstruktion, konnte die schwierige Herausforderung erfolgreich lösen, indem sie mit uns, einer spezialisierten Ingenieurfirma, zusammengearbeitet haben. Wir brachten Experten im Bereich Materialwissenschaft, Maschinenbau und Automobildesign mit, um Bereiche zu identifizieren, in denen das Zielgewicht erreicht oder reduziert werden musste, ohne die Sicherheit oder Vorgaben zu beeinträchtigen. Dadurch konnte DAIMLER den zunehmend strengen Anforderungen an Kraftstoffzertifizierung, Effizienz, Regulierung, CO2-Performance und -Zertifizierung gerecht werden. Wir arbeiteten zusammen, um die Zertifizierungen, die  Zielgewichte für den Ecktypen, sowie sämtliche Ausführungen mit allen möglichen Sonderausstattungen während der Entwicklung zu berechnen und mittels Bauteilprüfungen zu validieren. Nicht nur sind die Gewichtsziele, und Schwerpunktziele erreicht, wir konnten einen termingerechten Produktionsstart ohne Nachzertifizierung gemeinsam absichern.
